SAASPASS: One App for Your Passwords and Two-Factor Codes

News in brief, 12 October 2026

Following the recent Microsoft and ASOS security incidents, many small businesses and charities are reviewing how they protect their logins.

One tool worth looking at is SAASPASS, which combines a password manager, a two-factor authentication app and single sign-on in a single phone app. (Arwyn Bailey has been using this for many years.)

Instead of remembering dozens of passwords, you can unlock SAASPASS with a single PIN or your fingerprint. It generates the six-digit security codes many websites now ask for, stores all of your login credentials, and it can fill them in on your computer through browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Google, Edge, as well as most browsers for a Mac. Teams can share logins without revealing the actual passwords.

This is all free of charge for individuals. You can buy into company plans for a ;larger team, and these come with a one-month free trial period.

As with all security apps, check that your app is up to date on your app store before you rely on it, and this is crucial,  set up account recovery on day one.

Arwyn Bailey, of T L Media Limited, cannot remember a single password for any of his hundreds of accounts. He relies upon SASPASS entirely. If you do this, you MUST remember that the ONLY way in which you can unlock the app on a desktop, is through the QR code reader on your own mobiloe device or tablet, or via manual entry using the details from another computer that contains the serial number and 2FA that changes every 60 seconds.
